These games allow players to explore, create, and modify a virtual world, offering a unique experience that has maintained their popularity over the years.
Roblox by Roblox Corporation showed a strong start in Q1 with weekly revenues peaking at $12.8M in the last week of December 2020 and gradually declining to $8.2M by the end of March 2021. Downloads saw a high of 542K in late December, which tapered to 370K towards the end of March. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at 8.1M and growing to just under 9.7M in the same period.
Minecraft from Mojang also demonstrated consistent performance with its revenue starting at around $2M and ending the quarter at $1.3M. Downloads began at 104K and saw a slight decrease to 41K.
